Lena Perrino

Artist & Founder of Siren’s Reef

St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands

Lena Perrino is a multidisciplinary artist and the creator behind Siren’s Reef, a vibrant art and jewelry brand inspired by the magic of the sea and the wild beauty of the island of St. John. Originally from Chicago, Lena has lived in ten different states, but it was the island of St. John that captured her heart and became her creative home. From her breezy outdoor studio overlooking Chocolate Hole, she crafts sterling silver jewelry, ceramics, paintings, and murals that reflect her deep love for the ocean and island life.

Lena’s signature jewelry lines—the Octopus Collection and the St. John Sea Glass Collection—are born from both her personal symbolism and her connection to this place. The octopus, a creature she deeply admires for its intelligence and mystery, is a recurring motif in her work and even her business logo: a half-woman, half-octopus siren. Her sea glass pieces are one-of-a-kind treasures, each made from glass found on St. John’s beaches—a token of the island’s untamed beauty.

A lifelong artist with over 25 years of professional experience, Lena studied Studio Arts at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work—often whimsical, bright, and full of life—draws from a love of fairy tales, magic, and joy. Whether she’s creating a hand-forged silver ring, a large-scale mural, or a ceramic keepsake, her goal is simple: to bring beauty into the world.

Previously, Lena co-owned Island Muse, a beloved Coral Bay boutique representing over 27 local artists. Today, through Siren’s Reef, she continues to uplift her creative community while living her dream as a full-time artist. She hopes to one day open another gallery-style space dedicated to local makers, but for now, she’s grateful to spend her days doing what she loves most: making art, creating treasure, and helping others find and share their own spark of beauty.
